By Nkoloagu Johnson Amaechi.

There are some foods your body need and there foods your body don’t need. Those foods your body doesn’t need may be harmful to your body. What you eat in some cases is at the heart of anyone who wants to look nice younger than his or her age. Eating right helps keep blood sugar, fat and other food nutrients at steady levels, which is the key to keeping the problem of aging under control. Being overweight is clearly your biggest beauty problem.
Keeping your body fed the right things at the right time brings about a longer, healthier life. There are beautiful foods that make beautiful body. When people think of good food their mind go straight to fry and fast food, potato chips, sugary foods and most times processed food. This type of food can be nutritionally and calorically disastrous .They provide high amount of fat, sugar, salt and little or no nutritional value. You should eat 25% of your calories at break fast,25% at lunch,25% at dinner and other 25% as healthy snacks through the day.
One should always eat a protein with carbohydrate. Carbohydrate is 100% pure energy. It should be eaten with protein to protect protein from being wasted as a less efficient source of energy. This allows protein to be used for its vital functions: boosting your metabolism, building body muscle, keeping body fluid in balance, healing and fighting infection and making beautiful skin, hair and nails. Always remember carbohydrates burn and protein build. Never believe anybody or anything that tells you that you don’t need protein, or eat it only once a day. You are robbing your body of protein healing and building power all day long. Protein is so important that you cannot be healthy, not even attractive without it. Protein is so powerful that we don’t need very much of it, small amount of protein balanced with carbohydrates eaten in evenly distributed amounts through the day, as a matter of fact 6.5%oz can of chicken provides all the protein you need for the whole day. Turkey, lean, well trimmed pork, non-fat or low-fat yogurt, Skimmed milk is ok.
Legumes, although a plant food contains enough valuable protein to be considered an excellent source of high fiber, low fat protein. They are considered “incomplete” protein because they each lack sufficient amount of one or more of the essential amino acid. They must be eaten with grain (corn, wheat, rice, oats) or a seed (sunflower, sesame) to be complete. Examples are peanut butter on bread, black beans over rice, beans and cornbread. Peanut and sunflower seed mix.
There are some food you should try to avoid. Artificial fruit drink is nothing more than sugar, water with artificial flavor and colorings added; rather you should eat the natural fruit. Chocolate high in saturated fat, caffeine and sugar.Donuts-white flour and sugar fried in animal fat. Sodas (mineral) most minerals have about 12 teaspoon sugar per can along with artificial flavor, coloring and most have caffeine. Diet mineral contain all the above and only use chemical sweetener along with sodium. One should try to avoid much intake of sugar. Another food one should try to avoid is bacon, corned beef, ham, pastrami, salami and sausage loaded with saturated fats, salt and preservatives that have been linked to cancer .Snack chip and French fries triple with threats high saturated fats, salt and calories. Candy bars roll in oats! Loaded with sugar and fat.Liver high in iron as maybe .It is animal’s filter that collect the insecticides, poisons and cholesterol.
Food you should crave for: fish especially cold fish, chicken or turkey. Whole grains like cereal crack, rice and pasta legumes are very good food like dried beans and peanuts. Potatoes either white or sweet ones.Broccoli, spainach, straw berries are food one should not avoid. And lastly, skim or low fat dairy products, fruit and vegetable like oranges.
One should start eating right; begin by buying fine food such as fruits, vegetables, whole grain brain breads and cereals with fat free milk, instead of high refined cakes and cookies. Eat three meals a day. Then about 2 or 3 hours after meal, have a snacks-fruit, cottage or carrots instead of chips, if you got an urge for something sweet, have a piece of fruit.
